Capacity Assurance

The MineCare system is a maintenance software tool designed to


minimize maintenance response time, increase planning efficiency,
provide critical failure analysis information, and report key
performance indicators (KPIs) to maintenance personnel in real
time. The system provides end users with the tools necessary to
turn Data into Information and Information into Action.

Reliability Centered Maintenance

Through a detailed Failure Mode
and Effect Analysis (FMEA),
maintenance engineers are able
to identify failure modes, cause,
effect, severity, and recommended
actions. MineCare data enables

ultimately an accurate FMEA. More
importantly, once failure modes and effects have been
identified, users are able to determine abnormal conditions and
initiate procedures proactively rather than reactively handling
failures. Capacity Assurance is achieved by identifying weak links
and establishing policies that minimize failures in those areas.

continues to evolve the MineCare solution as the industry realizes the benefits and opportunities
that real-time data, predictive data, and failure analysis data collection provide. MineCare v2.0
incorporates many improvements to every area of the maintenance management process,
providing the information and tools necessary for a mine maintenance organization to react,
track, document, research, and resolve ongoing and future mobile equipment issues.

Maintenance efficiency requires a knowledge of repair procedures and equipment health indicators, coupled with
an understanding of production goals set by the mine. Reliability requires a commitment to research, analysis,
process, and failure elimination. The MineCare system allows maintenance personnel to store and standardize pro-
cedures, while providing the data needed to prevent failures that result in excess and unplanned spending when
components do not achieve their expected life.

production period.
