Zodiac Signs Activity
Around the room are the twelve zodiac signs.

- Your job is to walk around the room, reading each zodiac sign and writing
down the characters from Wuthering Heights you believe fit that sign, based
on their characteristics in the novel!

Take out your Wuthering Heights Anticipatory Sheet:

- Take a second walk around the room, reading each statement.

- Next to your original answer, write whether you agree or disagree
- If you answer has changed, write why and be ready to share

Rules:

1. Each person must answer the first and last question!

2. If you are in the middle, you are an expert! Be prepared to jump in and lead
the group through discussion if they get stuck. You will help in our overarching
questions.

Wuthering Heights Group Project
Part 1: Each group will be assigned TWO people to characterize in a picture and
quote collage! Correctly cite the quotations (page numbers will differ depending on
the book you have)

 Wuthering Heights Group Project Part 2: Each group will complete three
of the following projects.
Create a comparison/contrast
chart/poster of the two settings--
include quotes that support your
interpretations. This should elaborate
on the way events are influenced by
the actual locations.
Assume that Nelly was a
scrapbooker. Since she has been “in”
the story for the longest time,
document her observations in a
scrapbook with captions.
Create a 3 dimensional
representation of Wuthering Heights.
Create an ABC/123 book for
Wuthering Heights (List the alphabet
in a small book. For each letter, pull
something from the book. Give a
brief explanation).
Research the jobs of servants during
the Victorian period. What jobs would
Nellie, Zillah, and Joseph have been
responsible for completing? What
kind of training would they receive?
What kind of benefits do they
receive? Create a daily schedule.
Create a want add for a Victorian
servant.
Create an interactive review game for
Wuthering Heights.
Create a 3 dimensional
representation of Thrushcross
Grange.
Create a social media account for
any four characters (2 you were
assigned and 2 more).
Create a graveyard with all of the
deceased from the novel. Each grade
should have a poem on its stone,
with an appropriate tribute to who is
inside.
Create a 3-dimensional timeline of
the story plot. Your timeline should
have actual pop-outs to make 3D.
This cannot be done on PowerPoint.
Create a diorama of two fo the main
scenes.
Create a thematic mobile.
Create a musical representation of
the novel-- a soundtrack so to speak
of at least 10 songs. As always,
explain how your choices are
relevant. Create the soundtrack
cover. This should contain original
artwork.
Create and perform your own original
song based on any aspect of the
novel except the window scene.
Create a missing scene-- Isabella
confronting Heathcliff and act this out
in a puppet show for the class.
You have found the lost diary of
Linton Heathcliff. Create ten entries
which cover the time he arrives at his
uncle’s until his sad, pathetic end.
