Terms & Conditions:

• PRICES
The prices are in Rs./Km. and are Ex-works and inclusive of packing, and transit insurance charges.
The material shall be dispatched by Road.

• EXCISE DUTY
The prices are exclusive of Excise Duty, Education Cess on Excise duty, and shall be charged extra as
applicable at the time of dispatch. The present rate of Excise Duty is 10% advalorem.

 The Education Cess @ 3% on the Excise duty leviable shall also be charged extra. The present rate
of Excise Duty including CESS is 10.30% advalorem.
However Excise duty/Cess as actually applicable at the time of supplies shall be charged.
You are kindly aware that as per the present Central Excise Rules buyer’s consignee’s) Excise Control
Code Number (ECC number) is required for incorporating in our excise documents. So, you are
requested to mention the same in your Purchase Order. In the event Excise Registration is not being
held, please also mention the same clearly in the Purchase Order.

• SALES TAX
The prices are exclusive of Central Sales Tax and shall be charged extra as applicable at the time of
despatch. The present rate of Central Sales tax is 2% against declaration Form ‘C’ or ‘D’. In case
concessional Sales Tax Declaration form is not made available to us, then Central Sales tax @ 5% will
be charged.
We have indicated the present rate of Taxes & Duties as applicable at the time of making our
Offer. However, any variation in the statutory Duties & Taxes, such as Excise Duty, Sales Tax,
VAT, Service Tax, etc. or Goods & Service Tax (GST) in lieu of all these levies if imposed by the
Government of India, shall be charged extra as applicable at the time of supply
• OTHER TAXES & DUTIES
All other taxes & duties like Octroi duty / Town duty / Entry Tax or other such levy, if applicable will
be paid by you at actuals directly to the concerned authority / transporter.

• STATUTORY VARIATION
Please note that in case there is any statutory change in the rules, rates of method of calculation of Taxes
& duties, the same shall be to your account.
• MODVAT
We hereby declare that in quoting the prices, we have taken into account the full affect of the
duty set offs (Central Excise & Countervailing duties) available under MODVAT scheme
introduced w.e.f. 1st March, 1986 on raw materials used in the manufacture of cables.
• DELIVERY
The delivery shall be 8 to 10weeks from the date of receipt of your technically and commercially clear
purchase order. “All Technical approvals like Data Sheet, QAP should reach us within 7/10 days
from the date of submission.” The delivery offered by us is Ex-our Works. The date of delivery will be
date on which the material is offered for inspection. In case no inspection is involved, the date of Lorry
Receipt will be taken as the date of delivery, and not the date of Receipt of material at site.
• INSPECTION
Any Third Party Inspection Charges shall be to your account
• TESTS
The cable will be supplied subject to Routine Acceptance Tests. Any special test like Type
Test and Short Circuit Test from any Independent Lab shall be charged extra at actuals and it
will approx. 20 to 30 days extra time. However, we will submit our internal Type Test Report
for each and every size for your verification.

• PAYMENT
20% advance alongwith the purchase order & balance against Proforma Invoice prior to
despatch of material and payment against proforma invoice must be within 5 to 7 days of
submission of proforma invoice.

 The cables will be supplied in wooden drum length of 500/1000 Mtrs. with a tolerance of ±
5%.
However any length, if cut during manufacturing due to any unforeseen circumstances should
also be acceptable to you. The overall tolerance on the Quantity to be supplied will also be
plus or minus 5%.
• VALIDITY
Our offer is valid upto July 06, 2010

• GUARANTEE
The cables offered by us are guaranteed for satisfactory operation for a period of 12 months from the
date of commissioning or 18 months from the date of despatch, whichever is earlier subject to the
condition that any defect should be attributable directly due to defective materials or workmanship in the
cable supplied by us. Our liability in this respect will be confined to free replacement of the defective
portion of the cable only. We shall expect reasonable facilities for investigation to establish that the
defects are such for which we are responsible.

• PLACEMENT OF ORDER
In the event of an order decided in our favour the same may please be placed on M/s. Universal Cables
Limited, Satna with a copy to us.
