1. In article of journal or proceeding of seminar, the position of an abstract is before

introduction or it is after the tittle of the journal and the first page or in the
beginning of an article.

2. Describe the difference between an abstract and a summary of an article!

The difference between an abstract and a summary of an asrticle are very
significant, even now a day people usually think that abstract and summary are
almost the same. In facts, abstract is a short form of a research paper but
summary is short form of what a paper, journal a story etc about. An abstract
should identity why the article was written, but summary is what the articles,
stories, papers or journal tell about or in simple way summary is about what the
main idea or important information you get after you read the articles, stories etc.
unlike an abstract is a short yet powerful statement or account that summarizes a
larger work it is a brief summary of a research paper, thesis dissertation, etc but
summary is a brief statement or account containing the central point of a text. An
abstract may contain information about the background, pupose, result and
content of the work, but summary can be a synopsis of a book, article film or play.
So, now we know that abstract and summary is a very different.
3. An abstract of an academic article consists of;
a. Reason why the article was written
b. Methodology that used
c. The result of the project and implications
4. An abstract of an article helps the readers who get so confuse of what the journal
about, helps readers to get the information of the journal in a short form. An
abstract of an article helps the reader who searchs the journal that they need.

5. According to your opinion as student of higher education, why an abstract of an

academic article is important? Describe your opinion!
As a student of higher education, my opinion about why an abstract of an article
important is because by an abstract we’ll know that what the journal or article
about, why the journal or article was written, what methodology that used in the
journal, what is the result of the journal or article, what is the implications and the
most important one why an abstract of an academic article be that so important is
 we know what kind of journal we’ll make / we’ve made or what kind of journal
we’ll/we’ve read.

6. Here is the example of an abstract! Read it several times!

Using data from the Indonesian Family Life Surveys, we study the impact of fiscal
decentralisation in Indonesia on local public spending across communities
characterised by different types of informal and formal institutions. Our results
provide new evidence that fiscal decentralisation led to a significant increase in
community spending on social infrastructure (health and education) in
communities which observed strict adherence to customary laws and had a
tradition of local democracy. We argue that investment in transport and
communication facilitates exchange with outsiders and improves the outside
options of community members, thus making it more difficult to sustain intra-
community cooperation.

The introduction is being described well.

Because in introduction the abstract told it based on data from the Indonesian Family
Life Surveys, it also told the result and the impact of fiscal decentralitation, so by
read the introduction we’ll get some information because it being decribe so well .
