802.1. General
802.1.1. Description
This work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labour and performing
all required operations for the electrical installation of buildings and facilities, in
accordance with these specifications and the design or as established by Engineer.
Classification
The electrical installations are divided into two main groups
Electrical installations inside buildings
Outside electrical equipment:
- of medium voltage (joints, deviations from existing 20 kV networks)
- of low voltage (branches, external lighting)

802.2. Electrical installation types
The panel will be in a tight box, IP 42, painted for corrosion prevention, for operation in a
wet environment. It also contains primary fuses of LF type, automatic contactor, and
thermal protection on relay. In the secondary part it contains the level signal, auxiliary
relay, LF protection fuse, connectors control key (manual - automatic), a meter indicating
the pump operation or non-operation. All the panel inlets/outlets will be sealed.
The well chamber will be lit by tight lighting fixture with transparent globe, protection sieve
and 60 W bulb, at 24 V.
Aluminium conduits shall be used, with PVC insulation, protected in tight varnished metal
tubes, being exposed to hits.
The signal cable will be of 3 x 1,5 mm 2, flexible, heavy-duty, having underground and,
respectively, visible portions on the scaffolding of the water tank, up to the level
electrodes.
For the metal tank, only 2 electrodes will be used, for maximum and minimum level, the
reference being g4iven by its body.
The electrodes will be delivered with the level signaller and will be introduced into the
through the manhole, where a hole will be executed and the cable will be sealed. In order
to avoid the use of a supplementary junction box, a reserve will be allowed at the cable, to
handle the lid of the manhole.
The electric panel will be connected of the outside grounding socket; witch will not exceed
4 ohms passing resistance.
For clayey soil, the soil grounding socket will be made up of 5 vertical electrodes of
galvanised (zinc - coated) steel pipe 0.D.2 in 3 m; installations on a trapezoidal closed
shape, connected between them with zinc - coated teel flat strips, 40 x 4. The connections
to the grounding socket will be made of zinc - coated steel, 25 x 4, by 2 separating parts.
Platform WC (wet chambers, medium corrosive).
Maintenance centre. Heating station
The installations contains:
- power supply panel;
- inside lighting;
- grounding;
The power supply panel will be executed in an IP 42 metal enclosure, containing a lever
switch and main fuses (inlet) and LF fuses (outlet.
It will be located in the attendant’s room.
The inside lighting will be achieved with sealed lighting bodies, who fluorescent tubes,
without reflector, 1 x 40 W. Aluminium conduits will be used, with PVC insulation, in sealed
protection tubes of PVC - IPE, installed under the plaster.
Electric heating The design specifies power supply for 2 heating installations, one in each
compartment. The installation is executed with aluminium conduits with protection null of
copper in embedded PVC - IPE tubes. The heaters will be connected with a flexible cable,
from the boxes.

Grounding Since the working environment is very dangerous, the electric panel and
heaters will be additionally connected and grounded.
The grounding conduit is made of painted OL 25 x 4 flat strips and the connections will be
made with flexible copper parts of 16 mm2.
The grounding installation will be identical to the one in para. 2.1.

Maintenance workshop
The workshop is made up of a hall, 24-x 27-m with auxiliaries on the 2 short sides i.e.:
Annex 1: painting room, A category ventilation plant, welding workshop (D
category), mechanical - electrical workshop, chief - mechanic workshop (E), sanitary
group and locker room (E).
Annex 2: accumulator charging (A category), accumulator repair (EK) generator
room, heating plant, and pump room warehouse.
The maintenance hall, RT and RC (C-category) a separate compartments for manual
rinsing (E.U3).
Lighting installations
Installations in A category environments
- Explosion proof lighting fixtures adequate to the occurring agents;
- Copper conduits, with PVC insulation, protected in pipes, with fitting sealing at
passes to other environment categories.
Switches installed outside.
At accumulator charging, the installation is outside.

According to I - 20 due to presence of A - category rooms, the whole building will be
provided with lighting installation, i.e.:
- 20 x 3 zinc - coated wire net, mesh 10 x 10 mm
- zinc - coated descents 20 x 3, every 10 m;
- separating parts installed in close boxes;
- strip supports embedded in the ground, OL Zn 40 x 4;
- vertical electrodes of steal, ø 2” x 3 m.
Tank connected to the house water plant and fire extinguish pumps
- Joints to pumps and compressor with aluminium conduits + copper protection,
sealed varnished metal tube;
- Lighting with sealed fixtures with fluorescent tubes and reinforcements wits
incandescent bulbs, aluminium conduits in PEL tubes;
- Automation of water pumps with pressure gauge, with electric contacts and
automatic interlock between them;
- Automation of fire extinguishing pump with separate pressure gauge;
- Manual starting of air compressor;
- Metal sealed, corrosion - proof, painted panel;
Fuel station
- Normal fluorescent lighting installation in cubicle;
- Joints to pumps, with underground cables, with aluminium conduits, with PVC
insulation, non- - reinforced.
- Pump lighting connections, non- - reinforced cables of aluminium, with PVC 4 x 4
insulation.
The trench shapes for cables will be executed in undercrossing system, with PVC tubes -
duty (PVC - G - 63), in concrete, 40 x 40 cm.
The metal electric panel installed in the distributor cubicle, as well as the installation in the
cubicle, with “normal” character, keeping the distance of 6 m up to the fuel delivery pumps.
The grounding installation is executed in common with the tank protection one, at 1 ohm,
with the classical elements listed in para 2.1.
Toll stations
The operational building will contain the following compartments:
- station surveillance and management;
- heating plant;
- electric power supply from the mains and generator;
- public WC.
The ordinary lighting and power installations will be provided, besides an outside Diesel oil
tank and the auxiliaries of the manual generator set 70 KVA (39 KVA) that is ventilation,
foundation, electric connections.
Simple cubicles for entrance /exit, equipped with:
- special marking houses with microprocessor for proper taxing of users,
information for the control of the specific traffic lights (“passing reserved”).
- outside display for the users information;
- inside fluorescent lighting installation, electric heater for wintertime, (as the case
may be), window fan, panel for the auxiliary components of the tracks.
Double taxing cubicle for entrance an exit at the tracks in the middle of the motorway with
the same elements indicated above.
Taxing area converging, containing:
- fluorescent lighting fixtures, supplied through cables fixed on consoles with
aluminium conductors, in PVC;
- red-green traffic lights for each track, signal supply cables.
Track platform:
- red-green traffic lights for each track;
- yellow light at the ends of the islands between the tracks;
Control system
In the operation building, the surveillance and management compartment will be equipped
with a PC microcomputer, assuring the station administration traffic - lights surveillance,
tracing of other data for witch special programmes have been executed, inlet data
transmission to the local control station (concerning the station activity).

- The sections of the conduits and protection elements will be determined by
beating calculation.
- Fuses and electromagnetic relays will achieve the short circuit protection.
- The surge protection will be achieved by thermal relays.
- Safety lighting will be provided for fire extinguishing equipment coupling.
- Antistatic protection of the ventilation tubes carrying gases presenting explosion
danger.
Lighting roads have been provided, according to the standards.
The protection grounding sockets will not exceed 4 ohms and in case of common
grounding and lighting sockets, they will not exceed 1 ohm.
