Creating EIS Concurrent Manager
1. Define Custom EIS Concurrent Manager
1.1 Login to applications and navigate to
System Administrator > Concurrent > Manager > Define
1.2 Create a new concurrent manager
1.3 Manager = EIS Manager, Short Name = EIS_CONC_MGR,
Application = Application Object Library,
Description = Queue for handling EIS requests,
Type = Concurrent Manager

Following screen shot (Fig 1) shows the details of the concurrent manager

2. Assigning a EIS Program to the Concurrent Manager
2.1 To assign a EIS programs to EIS concurrent manager click on

Specialization Rules
2.2 Include/Exclude = Include,
Type = Program,
Application = XXEIS Custom Application,
Name = EIS Submit Report
2.3 Any concurrent program which starts with EIS can be added to the concurrent manager
by following the step 2.2

Following screen shot (Fig 2) shows the details of the EIS programs assigned to EIS Manager

3. Creating Work Shift for EIS Concurrent Manager
3.1 To define the thresholds for the concurrent manager click on the button

Work Shifts

3.2 Work Shift = Standard,

Description = Active 24 hours every day,

Processes = 10

Following screen shot (Fig 2) shows how work shifts are created for EIS concurrent manager

3.2 The number of processes will decide how many concurrent programs will be running at a
time.

4. Activate EIS Concurrent Manager
4.1 To activate EIS concurrent manager navigate to
System Administrator > Concurrent > Manager > Administer
4.2 Select the name EIS Manager and click on the button Activate

Following screen shot (Fig 4) provides the details where EIS concurrent manager can be activated.

5. Status of EIS concurrent manager
5.1 To verify if the concurrent programs are being submitted by EIS concurrent manager,
submit the EIS concurrent programs or reports. Navigate to System Administrator >

Concurrent > Manager > Administer and click on button Requests .


5.2 Requests window displays the concurrent request details and status.

Following screen shot (Fig 5) displays the activated EIS concurrent manager with the status of the
requests
