Master of Mass Communication

In a world that is rapidly changing, communication acts as an important binding factor.


Communication, very simply, is the exchange of ideas. However, it is also about influencing,
persuading and molding opinions. Broadcast & Print media are used effectively for above and
sated reasons.

Department of Communication and Journalism established in 1987-88. Department played vital


role to provide media professional and communication experts in various fields. In 2010-11
academic year Department of Communication and Journalism offering two year integrated Post-
Graduation level programme, Master of Mass Communication (Degree Course).

The Master of Mass Communication programme aims at developing socially responsible


communicators, who can effectively use their skills in various commercial and non-commercial
endeavors.

This Post-Graduate programme deals with areas of mass communication in industries as diverse
as Journalism, Advertising, Public relation and Entertainment. The programme of study will
include theoretical inputs with appropriate practical assignments and experience in media and
other communication organizations.

Interactive sessions with professional from the industry, a fully equipped library and other
amenities are highlights of this programme.

We aim to build professional communicators who will make a definite difference.
