Introduction to new Today we are going to be practicing the habit of striving for accuracy
material by editing our partner’s essay. As a way to strive for accuracy, we have
to make sure that we are also able to observe the mistakes of others.

Model
(I Do) Students will log into their laptops and open their essay on google
docs. I will show students how to share their documents with their
partners. Students will be required to share their document with the
person sitting next to them.

Using the tools on google documents, students will learn how to make
comments and highlight in order to offer suggestions on their partners
paper.

I will model to students how to make constructive feedback on their


partner’s paper.

Guided Practice
(We Do) Students will have 15 minutes to read and edit their partner’s paper. As
they are reading their partners paper they should think about striving
for accuracy can help limit the amount of mistakes people make.
While they are reading their partner’s paper,
Independent Practice
(You Do) Students will have 10 minutes to read over the comments that their
partner’s made and then write a reflection on how striving for accuracy
can help minimize your mistakes when you are writing your paper.

After students have finished their reflection, students will share their
reflections.
