Structural Design as a Criteria for
Seakeeping Assessment
The impact of the vessel configurations and hydrodynamic loads
on the structural requirements of the vessel are considered in the
selection of the optimal design

Structural Optimization – Ongoing Work
The design pressures and accelerations developed with the
hydrodynamic analysis can be translated directly to Finite
Element Analysis (FEA) models.
FEA provides a direct assessment of the variations in
motions and loads on the structural requirements of the vessel.
