Topic: The fact that mothers are working away from home is largely to blame for the

growing delinquency and crime among the youths.

Not only mothers are to be blamed for the delinquency and crime among the youths, children are to be
blamed for the delinquency and crime among the youths. In Trinidad the mothers are blamed for their
child wrong doings the child decides to do. Mothers should not leave their child alone at home, if the
child is not listening to the mother figure there is always another option and the child should be punished
and also disciplined when they do wrong.

Children should not be home alone because when home alone the child is unsupervised and can take it
upon themselves to do things that they are not supposed to do. Parents should get a nanny or a babysitter
to see the children if they won’t be able to carry the children with them.

If the child is not listening to the mother figure there are always a father figure and counseling is always
an option, also sports clubs are also an option to keep the children occupied when busy with work. This
may help with the delinquency and crime among the youths.

The child should be punished and disciplined when they do the wrong thing before they get themselves
into bigger trouble. The parents should carry then to see police officers, counselors and even persons who
are their role models for them to lecture the child on legal punishment for crime and delinquency. They
might listen to these people and make a change for the better.

Upon my views, mothers are not to be blamed for the wrong doings of the child, but they must take action
before the situation with the child gets worse.
