Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities):

Time: 15 min Observe the cover book with the students. Ask the students about the bugs they can see. Read the
story title and the writer’s name.

Students observe the pictures and observe the bugs. The teacher asks questions about the
size of the bugs in the story and read the lines in the story. Teacher stresses on the
vocabulary words (big-bigger-long-longer)

Students draw bugs of different sizes (small-big-bigger)-Below level (draw a small bug)-above
level (draw a story using different sizes of a bug)

Below level: They will draw the insect that they remember from the story. On level, (they will

Below level: Colour the insect pictures. On level: Colour the insect picture and write bug. Above
