I have research interests in the fields of geography, sustainability, urban planning, and climate science. I
have received extensive training and exposure to Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques for
analysis and interpretation of spatial data. I have applied these skills in research projects involving various
topics, such as land surface temperature determination in urban environments and a more recent project
assessing the accessibility of public parks in Auburn, Alabama. As a graduate research assistant in Auburn
University’s Department of Geosciences, my main responsibility involves supporting the City of Auburn’s
GIS division with projects aimed at providing technical GIS-related assistance to all branches of the city
government and expanding the reach of GIS practices to benefit the Auburn community.
