Subject: EDN461 Consent letter

H Sandra
I am a student in your EDN 461 (and EDN432). I will begin my Professional Experience this Monday
the 26th of February, in a Long Day-care Centre. I am hoping to give my Assignment One Focus
Childs’ parent the consent form on Monday.

I am concerned that the consent letter provided by you, does not state that the child’s face will be
obscured in all photographs, as it does in the assignment guidelines. I believe this could create
communication issues with the parent and also the staff of the Day-care centre. Can the letter be
altered to include this important information?

Also, I have been advised by the Day-care Centre Mentor, that I will not be allowed to take any
photographs and that if I do want images taken they will be taken by a staff member of the centre. Is
this going to be acceptable for my studies?

Thanks for your feedback. I have tweaked the parent letter. Images can be taken by the staff member.
