Assignment Three: Master’s thesis INSTRUMENT (Draft)

Instruction: Please think of your research and data you will be collecting. Compose the research data
collection instrument and describe why such instrument is valid for your research. Completed assignment
must be submitted on Moodle. Please do not email completed assignment to the class professor, as it will be

Your thesis topic (as it is formulated now) Experiences of youth with disabilities in
labor market

Describe data collection methods and why
you will be using specifically these
questions?
I will use non-directive interview because of
its’ free style to ask questions. My main
thesis task is to reveal disabled youth
personal motives, feelings, attitudes,
emotions and etc. about their experiences in
labor market. Of course, I will ask questions
about age and type of disability to reveal a
little bit about respondents itself. My thesis
topic is really broad so having or finding
some differences between respondents will
be good too.

As I mentioned before, these questions mostly are like examples. I think I will ask all of them and
from these questions will rise other questions and so on. Maybe only parts will be structured like in
this draft. That at first, I will be asking about job, then experiences, feeling etc. and last – basic
information.
