Activating Timeline

continents/countries.
- Have the students discuss their opinions on those countries in regards to those
topics. (First ask about climate of each continent/country and what people in that 9 mins
area do to survive and make a living. Secondly ask them about the development of
each area. Discuss.)

- Explain to them the process of how different and diverse each continent/country is 5 mins
and how each area contributes to our society assists in shaping us as a whole. Ex.
USA and UK are big music influences which is some focus of today’s society in
terms of clothes, trends, media coverage, etc.

- Answer any questions that are raised. Assign them to bring back a few things that
show examples how each area contributes to society. (it’s very open and does not 2 mins
limit to what they bring back for next class)
