1A) INT. STARS GYM, MATTED AREA. DAY, TITLE SEQUENCE

Various Shots: a boxer skipping, boxers punching the heavy bag, shadow boxing
and NAOMI flirting with BOXER1.

Cut To:

1B) INT. STARS GYM, CHANGING ROOM. DAY.

Dolly shot- camera moving down the gym chaining room. We then turn right and see
the end of boxing hand wrap on the floor. The camera follows the hand wrap and it
leads to REZA’S hands. REZA, early 20’s, boxing shorts, tank top, is nervous waiting
in the chaining room.

Out of focus and in the background, NAOMI, early 20s, dressed in expensive
clothing not suitable for the gym, and BOXER1, 18, handsome, tall and wearing a
tank top and hand wraps, are flirting, they slowly come in-focus.

As NAOMI and BOXER1 flirt, REZA, early 20’s, boxing shorts, tank top and hand
wraps, glides in front of the camera shadowboxing, warming up for his fight. The
camera follows and circles REZA as he moves effortlessly around the MATTED
AREA, coming in and out of focus as he moves away and comes close to the
camera, we mainly see his body, his head floats in and out of the frame as he
moves. One long continuous shot, the camera moves in front of REZA, his boxing
speeds up his boxing, moving faster and sharper, a RIGHT HOOK.
ROUND END BUZZ!

1C) INT. STARS GYM, RING. MONTAGE. DAY

REZA throws an aggressive RIGHT HOOK and moves away

B-ROLL REZA and SAM moving around the ring some close ups of their movement.
SAM throwing punches while REZA slips and rolls
REZA slips right, angle change, body punch.
SAM CLOSE UP pain from body punch.
REZA front kick and SAM moves to the ropes.
CLOSE UP REZA smiling WHIP-PAN transition

B-ROLL: REZA and SAM moving around the ring

CLOSE UP B

REZA and SAM'S fight is the focus of the montage, that runs linearly. REZA is
clearly the better fighter. To break up the montage various shots of: REZA COACH/
REZA TEAMMATES/ NAOMI/ SAM COACH and BEN watching on the side of the
ring cheering and screaming and the round timer.

As montage approaches an end, soundtrack gets louder and cutting speeds up, to
create an tense atmosphere. SAM begins to bleed from cuts developed through the
fight. More EXTREME CLOSE UP shots are used of REZA and SAM.

Quick Flashes of various images: SAM lying on the cavous with blood out coming
out of his left nose, NAOMI talking to BOXER1, REZA running out of the gym door,
REZA on the bank of the Thames crying. The montage ends with REZA performing a
of a SPINNING HOOK KICK. This kills SAM.

2A) INT. BATHROOM. AFTERNOON

REZA is alone in the bathroom and has his head in the sink filled to the top with
water. After a second, he aggressively takes his head out of the sink and gasps for
air, water all over the bathroom. REZA looks at himself in the mirror and begins to
cry into his hands. He vigorously searches for a clean towel, and dries his face.

REZA looks up in the mirror and begins to begins to cry. REZA grabs a towel and
starts to dry his face aggressively, his crying loudens as he bury’s his face in the
towel. REZA looks up again at the mirror, in the reflection is SAM dead, with blood
coming from his left nose. REZA stumbles back in horror and falls onto the floor
screaming and moaning. REZA shouts for his girlfriend NAOMI.

BEN
(scared)
Naomi!

NAOMI
(background)
Reza!

NAOMI runs from INT. LIVING ROOM. to REZA in INT. BATHROOM. REZA is in the
corner of the bathroom crying and screaming.
REZA'S POV: REZA'S eyes moving across the room, hallucinating SAM staring at
him.

NAOMI runs into the room and holds REZA, who is still in obvious discomfort.
NAOMI tries to calm REZA down, however is fed up with REZA'S nightmares.

 REZA calm down. Calm down

REZA
No! Naomi I saw him.

NAOMI grabs and holds REZA aggressively, trying to stop him from shaking.

NAOMI
Shhh!
(like you do to a baby)

REZA (CONT’D)
He’s right there he-h
(mumbling)

NAOMI
(frustrated)
Oh my god, your embarrassing yourself, just stop!

NAOMI is fed up, sighs and looks furious.

REZA stop it!

NAOMI pushes REZA and slaps him across the face. REZA looks up in pure shock.

SUPER TITLE: insert(screenplay title)

3A) EXT. UNDERGROUND. AFTERNOON

The tube emerges from the tunnel, rushing past the camera in a busy London
underground. A shot of the underground sign and passengers leaving the train as
the doors opens. As the passengers leave the train BEN emerges and leaves the
station.

3B) INT. BEN'S BEDROOM. AFTERNOON

BEN sits on the side of his bed, bent over and looking down at picture frame, almost
motionless. The camera slowly pushes in from the corridor to his room. We cut to
inside the room, we still do not see the picture. BEN places the picture frame to his
side. As he puts it down, from an over the shoulder shot, we see the picture frame. It
is a photo of him and SAM.

FLASHBACK of him in the ring holding SAM, calling for a medic, then looking at
REZA.

FLASHBACK END. BEN looks at the photo for a second, then to his bedside table,
(we don’t see what he is looking at). BEN slowly gets up and approaches the
bedside table, the camera pans as he walks. BEN picks up a PISTOL. He stares
down at the PISTOL in his hands, then back at the picture frame, contemplating his
next move.

4A/1) EXT. REZA APARTMENT. EVENING

An EST. shot of REZA’S apartment building.

Cut To:

4A/2) INT. REZA APARTMENT, KITCHEN. CONTINUOUS

NAOMI is chopping a lettuce, using a KITCHEN KNIFE. REZA is sitting at the dinner
table, alone and upset. LONG SHOT shows NAOMI and REZA sitting in the
background.

MEDIUM SHOT- REZA sitting on the chair looking down, on the verge of crying.
CAMERA pushes in to REZA, he becomes frustrated by the noise of the chopping
salad.
CLOSE UP- salad.

Cut To:

4B) INT. REZA APARTMENT, STREET, RAINING. CONTINUOUS

BEN is walking towards REZA’s apartment building. CLOSE UP shoes walking. A

long shot down the pavement, BEN walks towards the camera with his hood up, he
walks past the camera, we follow him and slowly move down his arm to reveal the
pistol in his hand.

Scene 4C is intercut with 4D.

4C) INT. REZA APARTMENT, DINING AREA. CONTINUOUS

REZA and NAOMI are sitting at the table, on opposite sides. REZA is eating an over-
cooked and dry looking steak, which he does not enjoy, and drinking water in a
glass. NAOMI has a small bowl of green salad and a diet coke which she drinks with
a straw from the bottle. There is silence and an uneasy mood as the two eat, REZA
looks uncomfortable and NAOMI tries to ignore it by scrolling through her Instagram
feed.

NAOMI
(judgmentally, staring at her phone)
You really need to grow up, REZA.

NAOMI, eyes fixed on her phone goes to the Instagram account of BOXER1 and
scrolls through his photos. She takes sip of her diet coke (EXTREME CLOSE UP)
and looks up from her phone to stare judgmentally at REZA as she sips. NAOMI
then slowly looks back at the phone and places down the coke. NAOMI takes a small
bite of her salad and looks back up at REZA. REZA is shown through MEDIUM
SHOTS, a lot of negative space around him. He feels uneasy by NAOMI'S comment.

NAOMI
(light-hearted)
It wasn’t your fault.

REZA is motionless, eyes fixed on the floor, ready to cry.

NAOMI (CONT'D)
(beat)
It’s just… fighting… it’s- it’s what you love.
(chuckle)

Naomi looks up at the ceiling and around the room; as if she is remembering the past.

NAOMI (CONT’D)
You used to drive me crazy just talking about it.
(chuckle)

NAOMI looks at REZA waiting for a reaction. REZA looks even more uncomfortable.
NAOMI'S smile turns into deep frown.

NAOMI (CONT'D)
(beat)
You know I've tried so hard to get you back in there... Just forget about it!

REZA
You don't understand...

(angry)
No, REZA! I’m getting fed up.

REZA
(shocked)
Naomi...

NAOMI subtly points her knife at REZA, she tries to intimidate him.

NAOMI
Your not listening to me. I’ve had enough.

Tensions are high on the dining table. REZA is on the edge of exploding and NAOMI
carries on to question him.

NAOMI (CONT’D)
You haven’t left this apartment in a month everyone think’s its getting
ridicules.
REZA, we are running out of money.
How are we going to pay the rent? Huh
You don’t even reply to Coach’s texts, what kind of man are you?

REZA
Shut up!

REZA hits his bottle of water onto the ground and stand up in rage. NAOMI is
shocked.

REZA
Yo-- You don’t get it, do you?...

NAOMI
(interrupts)
Reza, I want the best for you, I’m only trying to say…

REZA
(interrupts)
Did you see him? D-- Did you look into his eyes and watch him slowly fade
away?

REZA takes a few deep breaths

REZA (CONT’D)
I see him. I hear him, I bloody feel him. NAOMI, I want to let go, I want to
forget about it, but, I can’t. I can’t go back in there; I just can’t do it.

4D) INT. REZA APARTMENT, BUILDING. CONTINUOUS

BEN is walking up the stairs to REZA'S apartment, holding the pistol and looking
uncomfortably.

AS BEN walks up to REZA’S door he pauses, as he can hear REZA scream ‘Shut
Up!’. BEN puts his ear to the door and listens in. He once again struggles to justify
breaking in, however, remembers SAM’S death (FLASHBACK). BEN shoots the lock
on the door.

4E) INT. LIVING ROOM TABLE. EVENING (4A Cont’d)

A loud GUN SHOT (1 shot) is heard and the front door opens, BEN walks through
the door and towards BEN and NAOMI. He begins to shoot (5 shots) at REZA and
NAOMI. REZA takes cover behind the table, however, NAOMI is shot (4 th shot).
NAOMI falls down and begins to bleed.

After the 5th shot, the gun stops shooting. BEN pulls the trigger twice more until he
realises he must re-load. The gun clicks and REZA realises that BEN has finished
his first magazine, REZA looks at BEN to confirm, then to NAOMI. As BEN takes the
second magazine from his pocket, REZA comes out from under the table and
charges at BEN, taking him down to the ground.

4E/1) The beginning… takedown.

The GUN falls out of BEN’S hand onto the floor, away from them, as REZA tackles
BEN. REZA is on top of BEN, in full guard, and begins to punch him 4 times. BEN is
able to shift his hips, place his feet REZA’S waist and push him off. REZA falls back
and the two get up.

4E/2) The spinning elbow.

The two walk to each other, REZA throws a JAB (BEN slips), RIGHT HAND (BEN
blocks) and LEFT HOOK (Ben rolls). From the roll, BEN RIGHT LEG KICK and
LEFT BODY KICK (cached by REZA). REZA performs a SPINNING ELBOW and
BEN stumbles to the wall.

4E/3) REZA in the clinch with a through.

REZA walks towards BEN and attempts a right hand, BEN rolls and tries to CLINCH.
They fight for position, in-between BEN elbows REZA. REZA overpowers BEN and
works an OVER-UNDER, lifting BEN’s left arm and then KNEE’S him to the body.
REZA then throws BEN to the ground.

4E/4) BEN force REZA into a kitchen.

BEN quickly craws away from REZA (towards the patio), and then stands up. REZA
walks confidently as BEN crawls away. As BEN stands, REZA walks faster. They
meet, REZA throws a RIGHT hand (slipped), then a left hook (blocked) and BEN
counters with a jab. BEN blocks this and counters with a RIGHT HAND. REZA
stumbles back, and BEN throws a LEFT ROUND HOUSE. REZA stumbles into the
KITCHEN and BEN throws a RIGHT-SIDE KICK.

4E/5) REZA and BEN in kitchen… with a knife.

REZA falls to the kitchen counter (next to stove where NAOMI was cutting salad), he
looks at the knife and picks it up. BEN slowly walks back. REZA lunges in with the
knife, BEN steps to the side and REZA hits the fridge. REZA then strikes left and rips
BEN’S T-shirt. REZA over swing is caught by BEN, BEN puts REZA into a straight
arm lock and knee’s REZA. REZA drops the knife and stumbles back towards the
living room.

4E/6) BEN is strong, in the living room.

part 6.1
REZA stumbles back into living room, stops, gains composure
then walks to confront BEN. BEN is walking towards REZA. REZA
right hook (blocked), REZA left hook (blocked), BEN left hook
(blocked), BEN right leg kick (hit).

REZA steps back.

part 6.2
REZA right hook (blocked), BEN right
hook (blocked), BEN left uppercut, BEN right hook. Reza
falls to the ground.

4E/7) The end of REZA.

REZA desperately tries to crawl away from BEN. BEN picks up

the GUN left on the ground and walks towards REZA. BEN then kicks REZA and he
falls to the ground. BEN turns REZA over, places the GUN to the side of the
head.

Cut To Black:

BANG!
