Dear Student,

Postgraduate Programme in Structural Engineering – 2017/2018

I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to follow the above program,
subjected to approval by the Higher Degree Committee and the Faculty Board.

Initially, you will be enrolled for the Postgraduate Diploma and based on the grades obtained
for the taught courses, you may apply for the retrospective enrollment to the MSc degree.

In this regard, you are required to register to the selected program with the Asst. Registrar,
Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya on or before 19th January 2018 by making
following payments.

a.) For candidates sponsored by their employer, payment of full course fee Rs 275,000/= by a
Cheque written in favour of “Bursar, University of Peradeniya”.

b.) As a concession, for self-financed candidates ONLY, payment of course fee can be made:

i. by settling the full course fee before registration or

ii. the course fee paid in three installments;

- 1st installment of Rs.125,000/= before the registration

- 2nd installment of Rs.75,000/= before the commencement of the second semester

- 3rd installment of Rs.75,000/= before the completion of the second semester

All cash payments can be made to any branch of Bank of Ceylon as per the details given below.
You may refer the scanned copy of the deposit slip attached.

 c). There is a refundable deposit of 2,000/= (lending library fee) and a non-refundable
standard library fee of Rs 1,500/= for maximum two tickets for the Engineering
Library. This payment can also be made to the account number above or to the Shroff
counter of the University of Peradeniya.

You are kindly advised to produce the following documents at the time of registration to
facilitate the issue of Postgraduate Students ID cards.

i. 3 recent copies of passport size color photographs

ii. Copy and original of NIC/ Valid Passport/Valid Driving License

iii. Payment slips to the bank or a cheque to Bursar with two photocopies

Important : Please note that failing to register by the deadline given overleaf shall
result in offering your position to another applicant.
