Writing this thesis has been fascinating and extremely rewarding .I would like to thank a
number of people who have contributed to the final result in many different ways .

To commence with ,I pay my obeisance to god the almighty to have bestowed up on me

good health ,courage ,inspiration, zeal and the light.After god ,I’m highly indebted to my
supervisor Dr.I.Joseph A.Jerald Associate professor ,Jamal Mohammed college Teruchirapalli
for readily accepting to be my guide for this ph.D work .A guides role is that of a mother ,who
teaches to talk ,walk, pransing,encouragmy and adoring in each step the child takes forward.she
moulds the child do face the world bravely ,with knowledge ,education, values etc and sees her
own reflection in her child .

I have always received such motherly treatment from my guide .Thanks are too mild to
express my feelings of indebtedness special gratitude goes to principal Jamal Mohammed
college ,Dr Shasudheen. Head department at zoology and facilities and assistance during the
course of the work

I’m deeply indebted to Dr. AmbikaDevi lecturer ,Dept .of Aquaculture and fishery
microbiology, P.M Sayeed calicut University centre , Andrott island ,who planteed the seed of
idea to do research and her encouragement posing challenging questions , affechonate attitute
understanding patience and healthy critiaesm added considerably to may experience with out
her continual inspiration it would not have been possible to complete this study .

At this juncture I think of my parents whose self less sacrificial life and their great Effort
with pain and tears and unceasing prayers have enabled me to search the present position in
life .

My father K.C.P musthafa and my mother Belkhis Musthafa who formed part Of my
vision and taught me the good things that reaching matter in life .The happy memmory of my
mother still provides persistent inspiration for my journey in this life

It is not possible for me to pen down my thanks to all those who helped me directly Or
indirectly from time in completing this task . each help is like a bricks which contributes in
