Injection Nozzles, Remove and Install

Remove

Open coolant drain bolt - collect escaping

coolant.

Remove air cleaner housing and air intake pipe

– see operation "Air Cleaner Housing, Remove
and Install".

Remove engine control unit – see operation

"Engine Control Unit, Remove and Install".

Remove camshaft housing cover – see

operation "Camshaft Housing Cover, Remove
and Install".

Remove inner oil leak line – see operation

"Inner Oil Leak Line, Remove and Install".

Remove injector nozzle bracket (1) and

remove injector nozzles.

Note: If the head protection sleeve (2) is

pulled out when removing the injection
nozzles, the seals (1) must be replaced and
the heat protection sleeve knocked into the
cylinder head using KM-6093 (3).

Clean

Clean all sealing surfaces and remove gasket

residue.

Install

Install new rubber seal ring (1) and new copper

seal ring (2) on injector nozzle.

Insert injection nozzles in cylinder head.

Attach injector nozzle bracket to camshaft

housing – tightening torque 22.1 Nm / 16.3 lbf.

Install inner oil leak line – see operation "Inner

Oil Leak Line, Remove and Install".

Install camshaft housing cover – see operation

"Camshaft Housing Cover, Remove and
Install".

Install engine control unit – see operation

"Engine Control Unit, Remove and Install".

Install air cleaner housing and air intake pipe –

see operation "Air Cleaner Housing, Remove
and Install".

Charge and bleed cooling system – see

operation "Cooling System, Charge and Bleed"
and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
