These include bowing crotchets and minims, quavers, rests slurs, syncopation, repeat signs, dotted rhythms, simple left hand extensions, tied notes, compound time signatures and basic fourth-position work. These include bowing, syncopation, dotted rhythms, simple left hand extensions and culminate in some basic fourth-position work. Chord symbols have been provided in order that a keyboard accompaniment can be added if desired. Geoff Hyde qualified from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London in 1985. He has worked for some years at the Northamptonshire Music Service as a peripatetic Cello and Double Bass teacher and also coaches the Cello sections in two Youth Orchestras. He plays in a string quartet and is Principal Cello in the Northampton Chamber Orchestra.
