Dear Rev. Fr. Paul;

Greetings of Peace and Mercy!

It is truly that the town of Noveleta is blessed for it is celebrating the feast of the one of the symbols of
Christianity which is the Most Holy Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. After his passion, death and resurrection
what was left with us is His Holy Cross to symbolize his undying and merciful love to us.

Every 3rd of May we Roman Catholics commemorate the finding of the True Cross of Jesus Christ through the
expedition made by Saint Helena, mother of Constantine I.

In this matter, the Cofradia delos Hijos de Santa Cruz, one of the most active religious groups in our parish
wish to seek for your king permission to let the group once again lead the preparation of the upcoming Fiesta
2016.

In addition to, the Cofradia are proposing the following activities below:

 April 21 – 23 – Triduum Novena in the house of the current Hermana, this devotion started last year
and aims to let the family of the Hermana may have a private and personal devotion to our Titular
Patron.

 April 23 – Motorcade – reenactment of the finding of the Holy Cross. The image of Saint Helena will be
brought out in a motor parade and the reenactment will be at the house of the current Hermana after
the reenactment the Holy Cross and Saint Helena will be brought back to the parish. This activity
started last year and aims to remind the towns people of Noveleta how the Holy Cross and Saint
Helena are related and the reason why Saint Helena became the Patron Saint.
  April 24 – May 2 – Novena Mayor – a nine-day prayer dedicated to the Titular Patron, the Holy Cross.
The parish ministries, organizations and barangays are scheduled to lead and participate in the
recitation of the Holy Rosary, Novena and the Holy Mass.

 May 2 – Karakol ng Bayan – the traditional karakul or the street dancing to honor and also a way of
thanks giving of the Noveleta town’s people to their Patron Saints. The karakol will start right after the
morning mass of May 2. It is a whole day activity and will end before the sun sets.

 May 3 – Pistang Pagkatagpo – the feast day of the finding of the True Cross of Jesus Christ. Masses are
held and also the Concelebrated Mass.

 May 3 – Prusisyong Bayan – this the Grand Procession which the different images of the different
barangay of Noveleta join the Fiesta procession. The procession is held right after the last mass.

We are hoping for your positive response to these very important matters.
