Electrical Transmission Design Constraints (Manufacturability)
Manufacturability is the extent to which a good can be manufactured with relative ease at minimum cost
and maximum reliability. Manufacturability is a set of tools used to design product aiming to be carried in
mass production, so those tools are targeting mass production optimization. In short and in casual speech,
design for manufacturing activity is related to optimization and adaptation of product design to reduce cost,
time, and resources during manufacturing and mass production
Formula
Man-hour required = No. of days x 8 Hours/days
Number of workers
X = Total working hours / 23 working day in a month
Y = X/8 hours per day
Y = Total number of workers needed
Activities:

A. Clearing the right-of-way

B. Building Temporary road and trails
C. Installation of Conductor
Shipment/Transportation
D. Installation of Insulator
E. Installation of Transformer
Shipment/Transportation
F. Installation of Spacer
G. Installation of Arrester
H. Installation of Anti-climbing device
I. Installation of cross arms
J. Assembling and raising the towers
Shipment/Transportation
K. Excavation
L. Enclosure
M. Restoring the site
N. Others

Man-hour required if 8 Hours/day

Man-hour required = ∑ (Activity from A to N) x 8 Hours/days

Highest Expected year to finished the whole system = 2.5 years

Lowest Expected year to finished the whole system = 1 year
