This study aimed to determine the differences in growth and body weight gain
(BWG) in starter period of yellow skin color chicken from different areas in Lombok
Island with males from East Lombok. The material used 84 tails DOC were divided
into four treatments with 21 DOC from crossed males chickens East Lombok with
female chickens from East Lombok (LT × LT), 21 DOC from crossed male chickens
East Lombok with female chickens from West Lombok (LT × LB), 21 DOC from
crossed males chickens East Lombok with female chickens from Central Lombok
(LT×LTG), and 21 DOC from crossed males chickens East Lombok with female
chickens from Mataram City (LT × KT). Each treatment were consisted of three
replications and each replication consisted of 7 chickens. DOC maintained for two
months with feeding in adlibitum. Observed variables namely feed consumption,
feed conversion ratio and body weight gain. Data were analyzed by analysis of
variance based on completely randomized design. feed consumption, feed conversion
ratio and body weight gain in each treatment were not significantly different
(P>0.05).
