O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk. But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience, and love to thy servant. Yea, O Lord and King, grant me to see my own transgressions, and not to judge my brother, for blessed art Thou, unto ages of ages. Amen! During the Holy Season of Great Lent please try to incorporate this prayer in your daily prayers. GREAT FAST CONTINUES: As we enter this month of March the Great Fast continues in earnest: What are you doing differently this year to make this journey to Pascha? This is a time of prayer, fasting, and alms giving in preparation for the Great Feast of Feasts Holy Pascha which will be celebrated this year on Sunday, April 8th. Please make an effort during this time to approach the sacrament of Penance and then receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord in Holy Communion. As Orthodox Christians we are obligated to go to confession during this season of Great Lent. Please make time to attend the many services that are scheduled during this period of fasting, almsgiving, and prayer.
