GLORY BE TO JESUS CHRIST!

GLORY BE FOREVER!

LENTEN PRAYER OF SAINT EPHREM:

O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit
of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk.
But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience,
and love to thy servant.
Yea, O Lord and King, grant me to see my own
transgressions, and not to judge my brother, for blessed
art Thou, unto ages of ages. Amen!
During the Holy Season of Great Lent please try to
incorporate this prayer in your daily prayers.
GREAT FAST CONTINUES: As we enter this month
of March the Great Fast continues in earnest: What are
you doing differently this year to make this journey to
Pascha? This is a time of prayer, fasting, and alms
giving in preparation for the Great Feast of Feasts Holy
Pascha which will be celebrated this year on Sunday,
April 8th. Please make an effort during this time to
approach the sacrament of Penance and then receive
the Body and Blood of Our Lord in Holy Communion.
As Orthodox Christians we are obligated to go to
confession during this season of Great Lent. Please
make time to attend the many services that are
scheduled during this period of fasting, almsgiving, and
prayer.
SPECIAL THANK YOU to both Olga and Peter
Budkin who provided us with the Annual Blini
Luncheon. May the Good Lord shower His Blessings
upon you both and your family. Many Blessed Years!
MEMORIAL SATURDAYS: Memorial Saturdays will
be held this month on Saturday March 3rd, 10th, and the
17th. As is customary there are five All Soul’s Saturdays
in which the church commemorates those who have
passed. If you would like to add names to the church
rolls, please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk.
following Saturday’s, March 3rd, 10th and 17th dedicated
to the souls of the faithful who have departed this life.
HOMEBOUND PARISHIONERS IN NEED OF A
RIDE TO CHURCH: If you are interested in providing
transportation to church to a homebound parishioner
on Sunday’s please see Father John Prokopiuk to offer
your services. We have faithful parishioners who are
homebound now that came to church faithfully every
Sunday and holyday. If you can pick them up and bring
them home on a Sunday it would greatly be
appreciated.
