morpho-syntactic development, cognitive development and semantic development
• Created and independently lead circle time activities and lessons supporting language goals and

• Observed preschool speech-language pathologist, Erynn Blume for an hour on Tuesday mornings
• Observed the administration of cognitive and motor skill assessment batteries to clients, such as the
CELF-P2: Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals and Preschool Language Scales (PLS-5)
School-Age Speech Language Pathology Observation November 2014
• George J. Mitchell Elementary School, Ocean County NJ
• Shadowed school-based speech-language pathologist Eva Smalling as she went through her typical
caseload, implementing therapy for elementary school aged children
• Observed therapy for a diverse range of students including children diagnosed with autism spectrum
disorder
• Observed the cleaning and caretaking of a cochlear implant
• Observed the cleaning and caretaking of a hearing aid device

• The club was designed to connect individuals with aphasia living in the Ithaca community
with students on campus to create a community support base where both individuals with
aphasia and those without can work together in a supportive environment
• Responsibilities include creating presentations, running meetings, keeping track of
members, creating and running communication events such as Aphasia café, organizing
fundraisers
