TAG Students: This Digital Learning Day is to make up a Friday, 2nd grade’s TAG day. On a typical TAG day, students would be
engaged in TAG activities and return to class for math. To match this, TAG students should complete the TAG activity sent home
and the math facts and math skills sections of the menu below.

Reading
1. Go onto IRead for 20 minutes.
2. Read a book of choice for 20 minutes and summarize the story in a paragraph.
3. Analyze quotes from passage (See handout from teacher).
English Language Arts
1. Write three sentences that use reflexive pronouns. (self)
2. Write a story using first or third person point of view.
Writing
1. Write a friendly letter to your teacher about something fun you did recently.
2. Write a friendly letter to your teacher about your favorite part of school. Support your
opinion with at least 3 reasons.
3. Write a friendly letter to your teacher to persuade them to get a class pet.
Phonics
1. Read a book of choice to find long vowel /a/ teams (ae,ai,ay,eigh) and make a list of the
words.
2. Write a postcard to your best friend using 5 long vowel /a/ words.
3. Write a rap about the different ways to spell the long vowel /a/.
Social Studies
1. Complete the Nearpod (http://bit.ly/SSnearpod) on Jackie Robinson. HSDXW
2. Write a letter to Jackie Robinson. Ask at least 3 questions about his experience being the first
African American in the Major Leagues.
Math Facts
1. Addition or Subtraction IXL 20 min or create your own flashcards.
2. Multiplication IXL 20 min or create your own flashcards.
3. Division IXL 20 min or create your own flashcards.
Math Skills
1. Create a project based learning with Chapter 8 Money or Make a fact family neighborhood
(Two add, two subtract- at least ten houses).
2. Complete Multiplication Nearpod( http://bit.ly/SSnearpod) BKVZD or Make a fact family
neighborhood (two multiply two divide- at least 10 houses).
3. Complete Area and Perimeter Nearpods (http://bit.ly/SSnearpod) YJDVP and YIAJO or
draw a realistic floor plan of your bedroom and give the area and perimeter of your room.
