    WORK METHOD STATEMENT

    FOR
    LAYING BRICKWALL

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The scope of work covers the following activities such as setting out, laying technique and others
    related work.

    TOOLS AND MAN POWER

    Tools and manpower for this activities.

    1) Scope - 3 nos.
    2) Mixer - 1 no
    3) Trowel - 4 nos.
    4) Wheel Borrow - 2 nos.
    5) Skill workers - 3
    6) General workers - 5

    LAYING BRICKWALL

    1. The wall location shall be as per stated in the construction drawing.


    2. Bricks material shall be as per approved sample.
    3. The approved brick to be used is calcium silicate bricks from Batamas Sdn. Bhd.
    4. Setting out and wall alignment shall be marked before commencement the work.
    5. Damp Proof Course shall be laid on top of ground floor slab before proceed with brick laying.
    6. Bricks shall be laid with stretcher bond. ( 1/2 brick bond )
    7. Bricks joint shall be mixed by cement motor 1:3
    8. The thickness of motor joint shall not exceed 12 mm.
    9. Brickwork shall be true in line and vertical.
    10. Exmate shall be provided every 4 layer of brick.
    11. Dowel bar from column shall be fixed in between bricks during laying.
