PARLIAMENT, THE YOUNG WAY!

Words spelt magic and performances enthralled hearts in the 30 th Youth Parliament Competition 2017,
organized by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. Kendriya Vidyalaya VRDE was among the five
schools of the 48 schools of Mumbai region to present a replica of Lok Sabha proceedings at the 30 th
Youth Parliament Competition 2017 held at KV Bhandup, Mumbai on 22 August 2017. The school
bagged 4th prize while 6 of the 53 students from the school were awarded a trophy and a certificate each
for being the best speakers. Motivation worked best under the able guidance of Mrs. Savita Yadav,
Principal KV VRDE while efforts put in by Mr Balaji Shinde (TGT English) and Ms. Priyanka Jathar
(PRT) to carve the performances of students as well as the script were applaudable. The competition is
organized by MPA (Ministry of Parliamentary affairs) to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate
habits of discipline, tolerance among students as well as to enable student community to have intimate
knowledge of the working of Parliament.
