7.3 OPEN circuit

Open If a so-called OPEN circuit error occurs (indicating insulation caused by


sulfation/oxidation), a special programme step is necessary: the EC-d mode. This mode was
already explained in the description of the configuration of programmes EC-1 to EC-3. This
mode is a special variation used to activate inactive parts of a battery. It can resolve OPEN
circuit errors in a cell (these mostly occur in gel batteries). To start the EC-d mode a different
starting method is required (see Section 6.2 Special mode EC-d).

7.4 Help

Help Unknown error. Please check all connections and parameters, and lower R/F if
required. You can check your settings at all times during the regeneration process by pressing
the CHECK button. Each time you press, the display shows the next parameter, and you can
cycle through all the parameters, from EC-1 to EC-d. After around five seconds the display
returns to normal.
