Two floating storage unit (FSU) LNG carriers were built in 2012 in Malaysia and Singapore to store liquefied natural gas. Each FSU is over 280 meters long, has a deadweight of around 70-73,000 tonnes, and uses membrane tanks to hold a total capacity of 130,000 cubic meters of LNG with a boil off rate of 0.25% per day.
