Lesson title: Map, Globe and Imaginary lines

Subject: Social studies


Grade: 5th.
Lesson duration: 6 sessions of 45 Minutes (270 minutes)

 Objectives:

 General learning objective: Knowledge and Skill development

 Instructional objectives: Students will be able to:

i) Understand meaning and difference between map and globe, features and
usage of the same.

ii) To have a basic idea of the important lines of latitude.

iii) Understand the meaning of latitude and a line of latitude, and the
difference between the two.

iv) To understand the characteristic features and significance of the lines of


latitude.
v) To understand the relation between the longitude of a place and its time

vi) Use 21st. century skills of map and navigation.
