MEETING AGENDA:

1. Reading through both of the assignment questions. While highlighting the main points and the
problem stated.
2. Focusing on solving Question 1 first.
 It is consisted of 3 sub questions (a), (b) and (c).
 Rewriting and listing all given information to ease further calculations.
3. For question (a) to calculate the developed pump head;
 Need to find internal diameter based on appendix 3 (textbook)
 The viscosity and density of C2H4O based on Perry’s Chemical Engineer Handbook
 Obtained value of friction factor (f) from figure 1.
 Using Perry’s Chemical Engineer Handbook Table 6-5 (Additional Friction Loss For
Turbulent Flow Through Fittings and Valves)
4. Each member drafting their own answer for Question 1 while discussing with each other.
5. Comparing results to see if the methods used were similar or not and to see whether the answer
is correct.
 If the answer was roughly similar but with using a different method then discuss the
reasons as to why it is so.
