What is Programming?

Programming is the writing of algorithm that executes a set of sequential events to achieve a
meaningful task. Programming is done via various languages. The functional areas of programming are
diverse and therefore numerous programming languages evolved to meet the need of various
functional scenarios. For example: PHP is good for web development and associated server scripting
but not good for embedded system programming. Similarly, C and C++ is good for embedded
programming while not popular for web development. There are different problems in different
engineering domains and therefore for these problems evolved different languages.
