Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

This is easily an activity that could be used in any classroom. This resource allows you to not only ask
questions in word form but also allows you to use visual aids such as pictures and videos which helps address
different types of learners

Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
Prior to this activity the students will be given content via power point. The will be taught the information and
this activity will be used as a game/ review to keep the class competitive.

Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☐ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☐ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☐ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☒ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☐ Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):

Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity:

We will allow the students to go through the kahoot and see who was listening the best during the lesson.
After all students have answered their kahoot questions we will discuss them as a class.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):
☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☐ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
Yes I think it is important for the students to know if they have missed the material immediately so they can
start reflecting on why they may have picked the answer they picked
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
This is a closing activity to get the kids reflecting on the information they learned during the lesson, so
afterwards will be a discussion on the kahoot and a closure to the lesson.
How will the data be used?
This data will be used mainly as a ticket out the door/review to see what information the students absorbed
during the content part of the lesson. This will be available on kahoot therefore students and parents will be
able to review the material at home. It will also be reviewed and discussed in class as a closure activity to
assess the students understanding. Kids can also access kahoots for subjects and topics similar to what we
have discussed.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.

This is a type of assessment tool I have never used before. I think it is great because it incorporates student
knowledge with a bit of competition.

Reflective Practice:
I used this as a closing activity, however, I could have easily opened up with this same quiz to see what my
students already know previous to the lesson. This can help me adjust my lesson to be more adaptable to the
students I am teaching.
