About me

My name is Natalie Caballero i’m a senior at El Capitan
High School. I am 17 years old and my future career is to be
a nurse and help people out. Math is going to be important
because you'll use math as a nurse because you have to
know how much dose to give the patient. Math is important
in the future because you have make sure the patient's
dont get too much medication or too little of medication.
Math is important and fun.

Purpose of Book Project;

The purpose of this book project is to connect us more to
the math book and have better understanding in it. I think
this is a good purpose because it helps us with our career
later on or in collage. This helps you just in case later on
during your path you forget how to do a equation you will
always have a math book to look back at that you wrote.

Link assignment number #3

Original statement- Creating equation and inequalities in

one variable including ones with absolute value and use
them to solve problems.

Rewritten statement- When creating equation you will want

the variable by itself and want to do the opposite to be able
to solve the problem.

Equation: says two things are equal or a equation can be like a statement

Example; 7 + 2 = 10 − 1

Inequalities: are symbols that represent greater than , less than , equal

Example;

Absolute value: is how far number is from zero

Math Standard

Example; "6" is 6 away from zero, but "−6" is also 6 away from zero.

Solve: to find the answer

Example;

Linear equations is when a equation makes a straight line on a graph

Example;

Quadratic functions : is where a , b , c are numbers not equal to zero and be curved in a graph

Math Standard

Example:  2x2 + 5x − 3 = 0

Rational functions; is when one is divided by the other like a ratio but it can't be zero

Example;

Exponential equations ; converting bases to the same value

Example;

Equation : 50-p =12

Variable: P= unchecked patients

Word Problem: The nurse has to check on 50 patients.
