1. I have some interest in business and also design, I became interested in these fields at the

beginning of the year after going on field trips with Ms. Parsons where I discovered some

things about myself and interest I have in what goes into business and also, I have

somewhat of a hobby for creativity which motivates my interest.

2. I learned about what goes into planning out ideas for certain design projects and also how

that ties into business and I feel like those two fields could go hand and hand. I also

learned there are many benefits and opportunities that go along with it.

3. I feel as though I would struggle to try and peruse other careers because I don’t feel like

they would come as naturally to me as these fields would. I believe it’s a good fit for me

to stick with my gut and peruse what I feel I would be comfortable with.

4. The skills that are recommended are social skills, you need to be able to communicate

well with other salesman to make deals. Another skill that would be confidential is

organization, you should always be prepared and know what moves to make even with

design you should know how to keep your ideas in order. It would make life easier if one

learned to be somewhat creative, you should already be creative to go into a design

major, but also with business you could be creative with what ideas you come up with

and possibly realize what moves you could make to make money. Lastly, it would be a
 good idea to become familiar with technology, because especially with the way social

media is today, many people can benefit from it because it takes the world of

communication between individuals to another level and can make many new

connections and relationships with a variety of different people.

5. The fact that I am very creative and have an artistic mindset enhances my chances of

becoming a good asset to the world of design, but also my communication skills and

knowledge of the world of social media could make my chances of being introduced to

the business world more successful too. We know that math skills and English are a big

part of business, but also knowing how to get yourself involved and getting your

name/business around is a big part of it too.

My resume shows that I have experience in the volunteer work force, but I have yet to work a

real paying job, but I have shadowed my mom who is an entrepreneur, she showed me some

things that go into owning a business and as I said a lot of organization and experience with

money and managing the people who work for you need to be strong.
