THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction

Traffic management is key branch within logistics. It

concerns the planning, control purchasing of transport

services needed to physically move vehicles. Traffic

management is implemented by people working with

different jobs titles in different branches. Traffic

has offices and personnel strategically deployed in

the areas of the word, this provides traffic with

unique strength to be able to work around in

producing, trading and consuming countries.Focus on

enhancing benefit from sustainable and legal trade by

increasing incentives and pathways.

Statement of the Problem

This study will determine the traffic management in

the city of catbalogan during the SY: 2017-2018

Specifically, it answer to the following question:

1. What is the profile of the traffic enforcer in term

of the following characteristics?

1.1 Age and sex

1.2 Civil Status

1.3 Year level

1.4 Family Background

1.5 Religion

2. What are the factors which affect the traffic

management in the city of catbalogan:

2.1 traffic equipment;

2.2 traffic rules;

3. Is there significant relationship between the

traffic enforcer and the community?

HYPOTHESIS

This study will test the following hypothesis:

1. There is no significant relationship between the

traffic enforcer and the community.

Theoretical Framework

This study anchored on the following theories:

“Traffic Management Theory” “Three Phase Traffic Theory”

“Introduction to Modern traffic Flow Theory and Control”

Traffic Management Theory the topic traffic flow

comprises traffic flow theory, analysis method, evaluation

criteria, statistical method, data collection technologies,

information technology and control of private and public

transport on macro and micro level.

Three Phase Traffic Theory it focuses mainly on the

explanation of the physics of traffic breakdown and

resulting congested traffic on highways.

Introduction to Modern Traffic Flow Theory and Control

this in deep treatment explains the nature of traffic

breakdown and the resulting congestion in vehicular traffic

on the basis of Three Phase Traffic Theory in a manner

consistent with real measured traffic data.

Significance of the Study

The findings of this study will be beneficial to the

following sectors: community, local officials, parents,

police enforcers and future researchers.

To the Students

The results of this study will give the students a

knowledge about the traffic management in the City of

catbalogan issue and for them to be aware.

To Community

The findings of this study will give the citizen an

idea about those traffic rules and regulations to be follow

and obey.

To Local Officials

Results of this study will give insights to the local

officials to initiate programs to implement traffic rules

and regulatons in the locality through dissemination of

information particularly to the motorist.

Scope and Delimination

These study aims to answer the following questions

regarding on the traffic management in the city Catbalogan.

1. Problem- This study is conducted at Catbalogan city.

2. Locale of the study - This study is conducted in the

City of catbalogan.

3. Time Frame- The focused of the study is the factors

that affect the traffic management in the city of

catbalogan.

Definition of Terms

Traffic- All the vehicles driving along a certain road

or certain area, the amount of people who passed through a

certain place or travel on a way. (oxford dictionary)

Vehicles –A machine that is used to carry people or

goods from one place to another .( oxford dictionary)

Management -The act or skill of controling and making

decisions about a business, department, sport teams and

etc. .(oxford dictionary)
