Search for main applicant


1. Click the Person tab.
The Client Search Portal (CSP) is the department’s preferred client search system, providing officers with a 2. In the appropriate field, enter

options in the Search Type
and Year of Birth fields.

After searching for a client if no results can be found, you can create a new client record. 2. Click New Person…

From the client screen:

1. Select Client > New >

today’s date; however this can be
changed if required.

2. In the Date field, enter the


date the application was
received.
3. In the Form No or Service
field enter 47SP.
4. Click Search.

The search results displays in table.

From the Permission Request
Repeat the following steps for each migrating dependant to be added. screen:

1. Click Add Client.

The Client Enquiry screen displays.

2. Try all search options.


3. Click New Person…

The New Person screen displays

automatically populated.

4. Complete as many fields


as possible with available
information
5. Click Save.
6. Click Cancel.

The Client Detail screen displays.

7. From the Client Role


field, ensure the relevant
role is selected.
8. From the Association to
Main Applicant field,
select the appropriate
association.
9. Click Attach Clients…

The Permission Request screen


displays with the additional person
in the client table.

Note: If there is more than one


dependant it is quicker to use the
Add Multiple button to create the
dependants.

Add addresses for main applicant and sponsor


From the Permission Request
Repeat these steps for the main applicant and the sponsor. screen:

1. Select the appropriate


client in the Permission
Request.

Note: If the address is the same


for any of the applicants and/or
the sponsor select them before
the next step

2. Select Client >


Contacts…

The Client Contact Detail screen


displays.

3. If contact details already


exist for the client, click
Add to add additional
contact details.
4. From the Location field,
select the appropriate
location.
5. Enter the required
information.
6. Click Save. When the
message displays that
confirms the data has
been saved, click OK.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each


address to be added for the
client.

7. Click Cancel twice to


return to the Permission
Request screen.

Note: If you add new contact


information at a later stage, for
example if the address or phone
numbers change, remember to
enter the end date for the old
contact information. Failure to
end date old addresses causes
issues with ECS and also makes
second stage mail outs much
more difficult.

From the Permission Request
It is very important to record the travel document information for all applicants and the sponsor. This screen:

The authorised contact is the person who receives written communications on the applicant’s behalf. An screen:

Registration Authority or any other person/agent the applicant wishes to appoint. 1. Select Event > Add

This process is not done if the authorised contact is an agent. See: Attach an agent The Event/Decision Detail screen

down list select Agent.
3. Click Select.

4. From the Qualifier field,


select Not Used if the
applicant does not want
to use an authorised
recipient.
5. Click Select.

From the Permission Request
Payment for the application is usually recorded via Revenue Receipting. screen:

1. Select Payment >


Receipt > Initial
Payment.

Revenue Receipting launches and


the Record Payment screen
displays.

2. If necessary, change the


date in the Pricing date
field.
3. Offshore users will need
to select the currency to
be used for the payment.
4. Click the appropriate
payment method button.

The Payment Details screen


displays.

5. Enter the appropriate


details for the payment.
The mandatory fields
must be completed. The
mandatory fields are
indicated by a red
asterisk(*).
6. To authorise the
payment, click Save or
Authorise CommWeb
(depending upon
payment type).

The Record Payment page displays


the payment details.

7. To create the receipt,


click Create Receipt.

The Receipt Printing page displays


the receipt number and the FTRN
number.

8. To print the receipt, click


Print Receipt.

Return to the ICSE Permission


Request screen.

9. Refresh the ICSE events


by clicking the Record
Date (2) or Effect Date
(3) radio button.

The Payment event displays in the


event list.

Note: The payment offshore might


have been receipted via RCS.

the payment may have been
receipted, via Revenue Receipting,

Character checks are performed as part of the MAL (Movement Alert List) check. MAL consists of the PAL screen:
(Person Alert List, where the character is checked) and DAL (Document Alert List).

From the Permission Request
ICSE uses the Interval Calculator to find Movement information for a client. A list of movements of the client screen:
is displayed in the Movements group box in the Interval Calculator window. 1. Select Interfaces >

This information can be used for:

• Determining the location of a client at time of application/decision displays.
• Determining the date of movement of clients and time spent in Australia

Additional information will need to be recorded for the application. You can record more than one item of screen:
