5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

In the event of a fire involving this material, alone or in combination with other materials, use dry powder or carbon dioxide (NOT
WATER) extinguishers. Protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautions: See section 8.
Methods for cleaning up: Mix with sand or similar inert absorbent material, sweep up and keep in a tightly

Environmental precautions: Do not allow material to enter drains or water courses.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling: This product should be handled only by, or under the close supervision of, those
properly qualified in the handling and use of potentially hazardous chemicals, who
should take into account the fire, health and chemical hazard data given on this
sheet. It should always be handled in an efficient fumehood or equivalent sys-
tem. It should be borne in mind that the toxicological and physiological properties
of many compounds are not yet well determined and that new hazardous pro-
ducts may arise from reactions between chemicals. Care should be taken to
prevent any chemical from coming into contact with the skin or eyes and from
contaminating personal clothing.
Storage: Store in closed vessels in a dry place, away from sources of heat.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering control measures: Use appropriate engineering controls to reduce air contamination to
approved/permissable national exposure standards. Where such systems are not
effective wear suitable personal protective equipment which performs satisfac-
torily and meets local/national standards. There should be local procedures for
selection, training, inspection and maintenance of this equipment.
Respiratory precautions: Wear approved mask/respirator
