Basic Info
Statistics
Ghost Snipers work best when used in pairs. While it doubles the points cost, it also
enables you to take down a cavalry soldier in one turn or any average solo. They can also
put six damage on a harder target every round, downing ‘jack systems with ease and taking
out a third of a typical ‘caster’s health. They can also work well with Eiryss1 for another
automatic three damage, expanding their threat to solos with eight damage boxes and entire
warbeast aspects.
Ghost Snipers are often a low priority model to place in your lists. There are often better 2-pt
solos to grab first (Mage Hunter Assassins, pairs of Arcanists or Voidtracers), and they are
generally not taken in many high level tournament lists. Make sure you have a specific plan
for your Ghost Snipers before picking them up. That being said, they are Retribution's best
ranged solo outside the Eiryss'.

Combos & Synergies
Ravyn - Her feat allows the sniper to hit almost anything, Snipe can boost the
Sniper's range (though you'll probably have better things to cast it on), while Veil of
Mists helps keep this model alive or provides Camouflage
Rahn - Telekinesis helps to extend threat range while aiming, Force Field will help
keep Snipers safer from deadly AOEs
Ossyan - Shatter Storm can combine trooper autokill with a small AOE blast, and
allow you to snipe nasty solos
Houseguard Riflemen and Halberdiers - Ranked Attacks lets a Ghost Sniper or two
fire safely from behind a wall of halberds/rifles.
Mage Hunter Assassin , Dawnguard Destors, or Dawnguard Destor Thane - have a
longer melee range during their activations than they do during the Ghost Sniper's
activation. This means that they can charge in and do damage before the Ghost
Sniper shoots, allowing it to finish off or cripple damaged models.
Eiryss1 - Two Ghost Snipers with Eiryss1 together can put a serious dent in enemy
models and 'casters.

Tricks & Tactics
Against beast or jack heavy lists, activate the Ghost Sniper(s) last to ensure you
cripple systems
After turn 1, make sure you aim for better to-hit bonus, then use Swift Hunter to
back up to safety
If you can't find a forest, look for a hill: you will get the same DEF bonus, but will
allow you to target more models

Note: To field a mercenary warcaster with Retribution (ha ha ha ha), you need to
be playing a game which allows 2 (or more) warcasters.
