Toronto, Canada, September 14, 2010 -- SAFE Internationalâ ¢ is the leading provider o
f self defense training in Canada. SAFE Internationalâ ¢ is pleased to announce the la
unch of their Toronto High School self defense and Toronto self defense websites
. It currently operates throughout Ontario with a focused marketing campaign to
provide self defense to women, men, corporate and high school students. Safe Int
ernational has delivered training to over one hundred thousand (100,000) people
since 1994. The company is owned and managed by Chris Roberts who is a professio
nal teaching Director and self-defense instructor.
SAFE Internationalâ ¢ believes that Personal Self Defense Protection Education beginni
ng at the High School level helps to develop and ensure that teenage students tr
ansition into our communities and workplaces as more confident and responsible i
ndividuals. Learning why and how to avoid confrontations may hopefully also tran
slate to not being the originators of confrontation. Their courses for students
can be viewed at http://www.torontohighschoolselfdefense.com
The SAFE International high school curriculum is serious but it needs to be taug
ht in a way that is both entertaining and educational or as Tony Robbins says, y
ou need to "Edutain" to both capture their attention and keep it throughout the
4 to 5 hours of instruction. It is very common for students to greet the instruc
tors with a feeling of boredom at the thought of sitting through 60 minutes of t
alk or techniques on how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Within minut
es the students quickly realize that this is not your average self defense cours
e. SAFE doesn't give one-way instruction such as "Don't Do This or Don't Do That
", but rather, it is an interactive roller coaster of potentially life saving in
formation and at times comedy. Ask any teacher or student who has experienced on
e of the SAFE courses and they will virtually all tell you that the method in wh
ich it is taught is the key and biggest reason they call SAFE back year after ye
ar to instruct their students whether it be males or females. First, capture the
ir attention and teach it in a way that really leaves a lasting impression, part
icularly in the case of a possible attack.
For years, schools have offered Anti-Bullying programs, but now with the interne
t and all its benefits, there is a negative side, Cyber Bullying, another form o
f bullying which cannot be ignored. Cyber bullying is quite often an extension o
f traditional bullying and can take many forms including:
Sending texts or emails that are hurtful, hateful, harassing, or threatening phy
sical harm.
Spreading rumours about someone in hopes to embarrass or cause mental and perhap
s physical harm.
Sending personal or embarrassing information including pictures of others, all w
ith the intention of intimidating, frightening, ridiculing, or harming someone e
lse.
Pretending to be someone else with the intention of deceptive harm.
SAFE International is pleased to announce the launch of their NEW Cyber Bullying
Prevention Program for students, grades 7 to 10. http://www.torontohighschoolse

Twenty five percent of women will be assaulted during their lifetime and the hig
hest risk group is teenage women. This is an alarming fact especially since over
forty seven percent of crime is unreported. Women will know their attacker fift
y seven percent of the time according to studies. Women lead busy lives and need
easy to remember tactics that work in real-life situations. They also need trai
ning that fits into their busy schedules. SAFE International's instructors under
stand the challenges that women face and offer classes, group seminars and priva
te lessons to fit into anyone's schedule.
He also trains/consults people privately on a weekly basis. Private clients incl

to my clients. He constantly studies and implements new tactics when they fit my
criteria of being simple but effective. If the tactic might save a life, he is
interested. Our techniques are taught on the basis of Gross Motor movements.
