DLMS User Association Explanations 381792883.xlsx

Objective

The objective of this document is to list all OBIS codes defined in the Blue Book.
The Conformance Test Tool uses this list of OBIS codes to test the validity of the logical name of
the COSEM objects found in the Implementation under test (IUT). The relevant worksheets shall
be declared in the PICS. For example, in an electricity meter, the use of the worksheets "Abstract"
and "Electricity" shall be declared, whereas in a gas meter, the use of "Abstract" and "Gas" shall
be declared.

Explanations

Lines marked by 'com' are for the human reader; these lines are not interpreted by the tool.
Lines marked by 'def' include range definitions for the different value groups of the OBIS code.
These definitions apply in the lines below the definition.

In the column IC class, IC classes as defined in [1] are included.

In column Alt IC class alternative possibilities are proposed, the test tool will accept them.

"*" in this column means "any" interface class. This is used only for manufacturer specific classes.

Lines filled grey show the start of a new range of identifiers. These are "com" lines and they are
not interpreted by the tool.

7 For abstract objects, A = 0. Standard abstract objects are the same for all energy
types (media).

com [1] 5.3.3, 5.4.2 Group B defines channels 0...64. Values 65...127 are available for utility specific
8 use.
com [1] 5.3.4, 5.4.3 The standard range of value group C is 0...127, 200-239 and 241-254.

com [1] 5.3.5, 5.4.4 The standard range of value group D is 0...127.
10
com [1] 5.3.6, 5.4.5 Group E is generally used for further classification.
11
com [1] 5.3.7, Group F generally is used for historical values. The standard range is 0...99 and

13 groups D, E and F the range 128...254 is available for manufacturer specific
purposes, unless otherwise specified.
com [1] 4.6.2 In all groups the value 255 means "not used". All codes not specified are
