Introduction

Nowadays people venture to food exploration. They tend to travel just for the satisfaction

they might get for places they could land, and most especially to satisfy their gustatory perception.

Foods comes into different variations, they could be baked, steamed, made salty or tangy, easy as pie

or complicated as chemistry. For today’s generation, food have been a caused of sustenace, comfort

and life to each individual that’s why we’re introducing our refined output.

Offering a new variety of Turon is what the proponents would like to achieve. For this brand

perception that we formalize, we would like to linger the interest of the buyers and also the

costumers with our version of Kamerone.

Kamote, also known as sweet potato, is one of the most extensively cultivated crops in the

Philippines. The reason for this is mostly because it can be planted at any time of the year, it has

high nutritional values, and it can also be used for many medicinal purposes. Kamote can be found

in many places throughout the Philippines, but that does not mean that it is being consumed as much

as it is being produced (or if it is consumed, then it is usually deep fried or mixed with sugar which

takes out all the nutrients in the vegetables). Kamote is usually only used for medical needs and for

things other than food, because in Manila, people living in both rural and urban areas prefer to eat

meat and high-cholesterol foods.( Hye In Oh 2010)

In the Philippines, sweet potato plants are used in many different ways. Sometimes they eat it or

use it for animal feed formulation, and other times, they use the raw material in starch, alcohol,

carotene-juice, glue or syrup of the sweet potatoes to manufacture things, such as starch used for textile

or paper industries. They also use them as herbal medicines, even though none of them were found to
be efficient.Families rely on their sweet potato sales to provide for their financial needs as well.

Approximately 30 percent of the harvested sweet potatoes are sold to local markets or inside the

farmers’ neighborhood. .( Hye In Oh 2010)

Merienda (snack time) is strictly adhered to here in the Philippines. This time falls between

3-5 in the afternoon, schools, companies, colleges are all set aside at least 15 minutes during this

period for merienda. Many people think that the only things that you can barbeque are pork, beef or

perhaps chicken but here in the Philippines, food on sticks is taken to a totally different level! Like

banana que and kamote que, this is skewered fried ripe bananas and kamote with caramelized brown

sugar coating.

Merienda time is also one of the means of livelihood for many in the country. Merienda time will

not be complete without something cold to drink along with these snacks. Snack time is part of the

Filipino culture and Filipino food is still the preferred snack. Even in small things like this, the

Filipino strives to maintain their tradition

Promoting a healthy and convenient way of eating by introducing the Kamerone to the

public consumers would also benefit not just the costumers with its health nutrition content it has but

also helps the Filipino fishpond industries in the country as well.

The Kamerone is made of kamote (sweet potato) which is good source of Vitamins vitamin

C, manganese, copper, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6. Additionally, they are a good source of

potassium, dietary fiber, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and phosphorus. The proponents chose to

mix kamote, condensed milk and wrapped with shanghai wrapper.

Sweet potato is barely known to the people for the reason of many newly produced products.
The proponents have innovated this product for mouthful satisfaction to the consumers without

sacrificing their health. Sweet potatoes go beyond what most people realize.

Logo

The proponents picked the color violet to represents meaning of wealth, creativity, and magic. We

used color purple because it is the natural color of yam, which has a anthocynin food coloring obtained

in sweet potato. We also used cartoon character holding sweet potato to be seen the main ingredients of

the product. The background of the logo is the Kamerone itself to show the image of the product.
Tagline

The proponents came up with the tagline “Kamerone yum-yum fill your tum-tum.” When the
