AUTOBIOGRAPHY ESSAY FOR MBA APPLICATION

Learning, experience, ambition and also dream are the four things that actually
related each other. Since small, I always be questioned about my ambition. What actually I
want to be when I grown up. Ambassador, that is my dream job by the way. My learning
process and experience differ on what I’ve been dream for. Until now, I’m still chase on that
ambition.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nurazlin binti Ahmad. I am 27 years old.

Currently, I am working as Administrative Officer in Landscape State Department, Negeri
Melaka. I’m newly married. My husband working as Lab Technician at Petronas Penapisan
Melaka.

I’ve graduated from UiTM Bandaraya Melaka with Bachelor Administrative Science
(Hons) and Diploma Office Management and Technology from UiTM Lendu, Alor Gajah
Melaka. For real, I’ve got challenging life, either in my study or in my career. I know I can
survive with it where I put my ambition and my dream as my target and also believe in
whatever I do. In addition, I had two different courses for my diploma and my degree.
Somehow, people love to ask why I don’t stick and focusing on one courses only. As what I
can say that everything we learned was knowledge. Knowledge was unlimited. Basically, it
depends on yourself either you apply your knowledge or not.

In two years after graduated, I’ve got so many working experiences either in private
company or government sector. Firstly, I start my working journey in National Service
Department as a trainer for 7 months only. I’ve learned about survival where the place that I
stayed was a camp. In addition, I trained the trainee and in the same time I’ve experienced
an army life. Next, I start working as Assistant Officer at Lembaga Penduduk dan
Pembangunan Keluarga Negara for 6 month as a daily worker whereas my job task is giving
talk to the teenagers from school to school, do the counselling and help the teenagers in
their school subjects. I really enjoy with my job that time but it was just a temporary job. My
previous working experienced was at Perbadanan Stadium Melaka as Administrative Officer
(Event Management) for almost one year. I planned most of the event for Perbadanan
Stadium Melaka and for sports management as well. I’ve gained so many knowledge that I
cannot get out there. Moreover, I put an effort to studying more about event management
and also sports.
 I’m the elder from 3 siblings where both of my younger brothers didn’t put much
interest on studying. They are more focus on their own career. My parents were
government staff where my mother was an Immigration Officer and my father was an
Assistant Finance Officer. Since small my parents pampered me so much on books and
stationery. I love reading so much, until I will read every advertisements or billboards that
were beside the road. Until my age right now, reading always is my hobby. Knowledge and
experience cannot buy and it going to be something valuable to me.

My family background was not so impressive like others, not wealthy and no
professionalism born from the family. It’s not my family. I’ve just got average family
members and need to work to support the household but we are happy family. The parents
that are always make the children happy, the children that always hear the parent’s advice. I
want to improve my families financial where my parents will pension this month and the
responsibility to support the family are on me and the two brothers. I’ve start to open online
business with husband, and with my parents bless also my small business running well.

My intention to further study in Master Business Administration is to get knowledge

and in the same time also, I will get explore and learning new things. It also will help me to
be more educated and mature in my career and also my small business so that I can
contribute something to my organization, my family and also to my business.
