PNB 1MALAYSIA INVESTMENT QUIZ COMPETITION 2017

(UNIVERSITY CATEGORY)

OBJECTIVES

 To provide exposure and education on the relationship between investment risks and returns
based on long-term investments for long-term strategy.
 To test the participants on issues, vocabulary and recent developments in the world of
investment, economics and commerce while emphasizing on the merits of investing and the
returns associated with it.

ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS

 Open only to MALAYSIAN Students from public and private institutions of higher learning,
currently enrolled in first-degree courses in Accountancy, Business Administration,
Investment and Finance.
 Each institution is allowed to send as many participants as they can.
 The top three (3) participants from the top 20 institutions will be selected for the Semi Final
Round in Putrajaya.

COMPETITION FORMAT & TOPICS

 Questions revolve around topics related to economics, investment and finance. Questions on
PNB and the unit trust industry as well as financial planning will also be included. The
competition will be conducted in three rounds, as follows:-

1. All rounds will be conducted in English.
2. Lodging during the Semi Final and Final Round (from 29 to 30 September) will be borne by ASNB.

SCOPE OF QUESTIONS

The questions are divided into the following segments:-

 Security & Financial Analysis : 30%


 PNB, ASNB, Unit Trust Industry & Financial Planning : 40%
 Portfolio Theory : 20%
 Fundamental of Finance & Economics : 10%

2nd Runner Up - complimentary prizes and cash RM5,000

Consolation Prizes - complimentary prizes and cash RM3,000
