II. Prerequisites:
a. Students will be able to recognize common weather events and facts about
them.
V. Instructional Procedures:
b. Students will be grouped by their tables and assigned one weather event.
i. Each group will be given a book on their weather event to read and
take facts from.
iii. Each student must choose 1 fact to create their own page on
weather.
iv. As a group, the students will make a cover page for their section of
the book.
c. All sections of the book will be put together to create a class book on
weather events.
d. Exit ticket- Share 1 fact you learned about your weather event? Does that
make you like or not like this event?
Blank Paper, Writing Paper, crayons, Weather Watcher Books: Wind, Rain,
Thunder and Lightning, Sunshine, Clouds, Snow
VII. Assessment/Evaluation:
a. Group Webs
b. Student book pages
c. Exit ticket
ii. Write an introduction about weather for the front of the book.
