September, 2011 as State University Governed by the Maharashtra University Act, 1994)

Whereas, the Maharashtra Universities Act No. XXXV of 1994 has come into force
with effect from 22nd July, 1994.
AND
Whereas, it is expedient to prescribe the composition of powers and functions of the
Examinations Recognition (Equivalence Committees) for all the courses under all the
Faculties,
AND
Whereas, it is expedient to prescribe the procedure to be followed by the said
committee in considering cases for ascertaining the Equivalence of Examinations of other
Statutory Universities/Recognized Boards of Education or other Academic Institutions in
India or abroad,
AND
Whereas the matter for admission of the students at the examinations is required to be
regulated by an Ordinance,
AND
1. This Direction shall come into force with effect from the date of its Issuance.
2. Subject to his/her compliance with the requirements of this Direction and of other
Directions in force from time to time, for absorption of passed ex-students of all the
courses (Yearly/Semester Pattern) of R T M Nagpur University, Nagpur in the equivalent
courses (Yearly/Semester pattern with or without credit grade system) of this University,
offered under the related faculty, candidates shall be absorbed as per the scheme
recommended by concerned Board of Studies.
3. I, further direct that the aforesaid Direction shall come into force from the date of
issuance and shall remain in force till the relevant Ordinance comes into being in
accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or is repealed
by an issuance of another Direction.
8. The committee shall report to the University, its recommendations regarding the
equivalence of the examination referred to it for such decision as the Academic
Committee may take thereon.
9. The Principals of the Colleges or Heads of the University Teaching Department shall not
admit any student in whose case the qualifying examination has not been recognised by
the University as equivalent to the corresponding examination of the Gondwana
University.
10. The admission of such students to any particular semester of the given course shall
not be made by the respective College/Department to the Higher Courses of Studies
in the University unless the given student has passed the previous qualifying
examination and is duly recognised by this University on the recommendation of the
Committee.
11. The ex-students of the given courses of R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur shall now be
absorbed in the corresponding/equivalent courses of the Gondwana University,
Gadchiroli as per the ‘Equivalence & Absorption Schemes’ as proposed from time to
time by the concerned Board of Studies and recommended by the Dean of the Faculty
concerned on behalf of the Academic Council & Management Council under Section
14(7) of M. U. Act 1994 for its implementation from the Session 2012-13 and onwards.
12. The Examination recognised by this University so far, by competent Direction/s shall be
deemed to have been recognised as equivalent to the corresponding degree examinations
of this University under this Direction.

Nagpur in I and II Semester B.E. and M. Tech. (Semester pattern with credit
grade system) course of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli in the Faculty of
Engineering & Technology
It is notified for general information of all concerned that the Hon’ble Vice-
Chancellor has approved the following ‘Equivalence & Absorption Schemes’ as proposed by
the Board of Studies in Applied Sciences & Humanities, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering and recommended by
the Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology for the ex-students of First Year B.E. and M.
Tech. (Semester Pattern) course of R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur will now be absorbed
in B.E. and M. Tech. (Semester Pattern with Credit Grade System) course of Gondwana
University, Gadchiroli as per the equivalence and absorption scheme given below as per the
Direction 157 of 2013 and on behalf of Academic Committee & Management Council under
Section 14(7) of M. U. Act 1994 for its implementation from the Session 2012-13 and
onwards.
