Research Information Communication and Utilization Division

Three (3) Project Assistant III (Contractual)


Basic Salary: Php 25,664.40

Preferred Qualifications/Attributes
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Social Science/health related courses.
• Experience in project management
• Must be knowledgeable in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in both oral and written communications
• Can work with less Supervision
• With good interpersonal skill, work attitude and moral character
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Evaluate and monitor assigned projects for the DOH-AHEAD and Philhealth
2. Facilitate approva of project proposals, progress reports and technical reports
3. Coordinate with project proponents and concerns on project management
4. Perform other duties and functions assigned by the division chief.

Research and Development Management Division

I. Three (3) Project Officer I - Contractual


Basic Salary: Php 51,900.00/month

Qualification Standard
Education: Bachelor's Degree relevant to the job
Experience: 3 years relevant experience
Training: 16 hours relevant training

A. Project Officer I (Pharmacist/Pharmacologist)

Preferred Qualification/Attributes
• Preferably MS Degree Pharmacy or Pharmacology
• At least 3 years of relevant experience (Preferably with experience in the
Pharmaceutical industry)
• At least 16 hours of relevant training
• Must be excellent in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in both oral and written communications
• Can work with less supervision
• With good interpersonal skill, work attitude and moral character

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leads the development of program activity scopes and objectives, ensuring relevance to
stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
2. Provides key inputs in the determination of resource, especially human and
infrastructure requirements necessary to achieve Program goals and targets

B. Project Officer I (Data Management SpecialistlBioinformatician)

Preferred Qualificationl Attributes


• Preferably MS Degree in health informatics I bioinformatics
• At least 3 years of relevant experience (Preferably with experience in database
development and management)
• At least 16 hours of relevant training (in bioinformatics and data management)
• Must be excellent in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in both oral and written communications
• Can work with less supervision
• With good interpersonal skill, work attitude and moral character

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Leads the design and development of appropriate systems, tools and! or techniques that
will facilitate easy and timely relevant information retrieval for the monitoring of the
program both for the use of the researchers and the PCHRD!DOST
2. Identifies and recommends technology and HR requirements needed by research teams
and PCHRD necessary to implement and sustain systems to be developed
3. Oversees implementation and monitoring of systems
4. Facilitates periodic evaluation of systems and identifies improvement measures as
necessary

C. Project Officer I (Chemistry)

Preferred Qualificationl Attributes


• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Preferably MS Degree in Chemistry)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience (Preferably with experience in database
development and management)
• At least 16 hours of relevant training (in bioinformatics and data management)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be excellent in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Plan, evaluate and monitor assigned projects under the Research and Development
Management Division (RDMD) e.g. Dengue and Other Arbiviruses program
2. Review, evaluate and provide inputs to assigned protocol/s submitted/referred to
PCHRD in accordance and compliant to PCHRD review, DOST guidelines, and other
elated regulations
3. Process proposals approved for financial assistance
4. Coordinate with project proponent and research team regarding concerns on
proposed and ongoing projects
5. Ensure compliance to ISO procedure and manual of operation with regards to
documentation, processing, overall project management, etc
6. Perform other duties and functions as assigned by the Division Chief of immediate
senior staff

III. One (1) Science Research specialist I - Contractual


(Tuklas Lunas Program)
Basic Salary:

Preferred Qualification/Attributes
• BS Pharmacy preferably with Masters
• MedicallTechnical writing experience
• Presentation skills (oral and written)
• Must be excellent in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Proficient in both oral and written communications.
• Can work with less supervision
• With good interpersonal skill, work attitude and moral character.

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Plan, evaluate and monitor assigned projects under the Research and Development

• Excellent in organizational and time management skills (multiple projects), quick to
understand directives and possesses the ability to work under little supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and other presentation software/programs
• Experience in project planning, management and analysis, preferred
• Can work with less supervision
• With good interpersonal skills, work attitude and moral character

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs routine administrative, organizational and operational tasks of the divisions


including logistical support to project officers and staff
2. Assists in planning by inputting, reviewing and consondatinq data and figures
necessary for the division's strategy development
3. Maintain and regularly updates monitoring and planning database of the division
4. Coordinates and communicates administrative concerns with other divisions and
stakeholders including preparation of report and minutes of meeting
5. Performs other relevant duties as instructued by immediate head

Institution Development Division

One (1) Science Research Specialist I (Contractual)


Basic Salary: 27,908.00/month

Preferred Qualification/Attributes
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• At least 8 hours of relevant training
• Must be excellent in MS Office application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and computer
programs such as MySQL,PhP, Joomla, HTML, etc
• Proficient in both oral and written communications
• Can work with less supervision
• With good interpersonal skill, work attitude and moral character

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Information Systems Development
a. Writes, updates and maintains computer programs or software packages to
handle specific jobs.
b. Writes, analyzes, reviews and rewrites programs, using workflow chart and
diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter and
symbolic logic.
c. Consults with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent,
identify problems, and suggest changes.
d. Performs systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the
use of computer systems software.

2. Information Systems Documentation


a. Complies and writes documentation (e.g. manuals and how to's) of programs
developed and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions
so others can understand the program.
b. Submits reports in a timely manner.

3. Information Systems Maintenance and Enhancement


a. Defines and resolves problems in running computer programs
b. Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to
ensure that the desired results are produced
c. Conducts trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will
produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct
d. Performs or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase
operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements

4. Performs other duties as assigned by the Division Chief/Supervisor
