CLASS OF 2018

My senior year has been going great, with having ended my first
semester on the Dean’s List. This school year has involved a lot of
anticipation as I applied for medical school for this upcoming year. I
am proud to say that after I graduate I will be attending the University
of Illinois at Chicago Medical School to pursue a life long dream of
becoming a physician oriented towards helping underrepresented
minorities. The scholarship I have been provided with means so much
as my family struggles economically to fund for my education. It has
provided me with economic stability to completely focus on finishing
out my undergraduate career positively. Personally, it gives me so
much pride to be acknowledged for my efforts and I hope to also
encourage future latino/latina generations to strive for academic
success.
