Executive Summary
• Government of India
– Legal compliance date is targeted for April 2017
– Draft GST Model Law made available in June 2016
– Final government specifications expected around end of the year
– Government IT infrastructure required for GST is in process GSTN
• Oracle E-Business Suite
– Significant early development investment in preparation for India GST
– Phased development work to enable early access and to accelerate delivery
– Customer and partner early access to phased software updates

Oracle EBS Plan for India GST
• Start development work as early as possible
– Substantial investment over the last 5+ years in addressing critical localizations enhancements culminating in new
infrastructure that will be required for GST compliance for all 12.1 and 12.2 customers
• Phase development work to enable early access for customers and partners:
– Phase 1 – GST infrastructure: has been in early customer validation since 2015
– Phase 2 – GST model law and transition capabilities: enhancements based on the draft GST Model Law published
in June 2016 and functionality to support the transition from the current tax regime to GST
– Phase 3 – Final GST requirements: additional requirements that may come in final specifications published by the
government
• Customer enablement
– Working closely across Oracle lines of business (e.g. Support, ACS, Sales Consulting, etc.) and with partners on
readiness and customer enablement
• Provide customers and partners with early access to phased software updates
– Expanded early access for EBS GST infrastructure for customers and partners
– Early access for phase 2 once ready and, if needed, phase 3 as well

Partner Early Access to Software Updates
• Early access will start with a limited number of participants and expand in a
controlled way to all customers and partners as quickly as possible
– Phase 1 – GST infrastructure
– Phase 2 – GST model law and transition capabilities
– Phase 3 – Final GST requirements (only if significant changes in final government specs)
• Early access focus and restrictions
– To enable participants to learn the new software, plan projects, perform preliminary setups
and testing as early as possible, rather than having to wait for the final software update
– For testing and evaluation only and must not be run on a production environment
– SRs will be processed as non-production SRs and will not be candidates for priority-1

Early Access Participant Requirements
• Run on an EBS 12.1.x or 12.2.x release
• Understand and limit evaluation and testing to the scope of each phase
• Be self-sufficient in using pre-release documentation or work with Oracle
or a partner
• Commitment and ability to qualify and appropriately document in
functional and technical terms through standard support SRs any problems
encountered
• Invest in the required dedicated hardware and staffing to successfully
conduct evaluation and testing
